What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and present thoughts build our life tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind

My story
My love and passion for the arts stems within a deep rooted belief and calling, that it is my purpose to create.
My journey as an artist and teacher began over 10 years ago when I had the opportunity to create a therapeutic arts based program for children and youth living in a group home. It taught them the fundamentals of photography using creative assignments to support their skills and express themselves through the photos they captured. This experience then guided me to attend art school in Barcelona, Spain. My focus continued in the therapeutic arts as well as contemporary art. I gained the skills and insight into the practice and experience of using the arts as a gateway to my own growth and development. Upon my return, I volunteered in the therapeutic arts centre at The Children’s Hospital, and became an Early Childhood Educator.
Throughout my experience, I have come to learn and strongly believe in the power of creativity. Learning through expressive process that allows children and adults to communicate their thoughts and feelings, connecting us with our own inner language, and knowledge, enabling us to discover a wisdom deep inside that will transform our lives and well-being. Art brings out our inner healer, which changes our whole physiology, spirit, mind, and body. It has been proven to me that through my own journey and experiences of others…
“Art and healing have always been one.”

Growth & Learning
This brings me to my newest exploration of ceramics. It began with teaching clay, glass and pottery classes. I immediately fell in love and felt a connection with clay I haven’t ever experienced before with other mediums. A year into teaching, I, myself, began to learn from a master ceramicist and converted a space in my home into a quaint little pottery studio. This is just the beginning of my ceramic adventure. It found me when I needed it most and has inspired me to continue learning, growing and creating - awakening a part of me I never knew existed.
The moment I began pottery, it transported me into the most beautiful flow state. I feel so blessed to have found what it is I believe I was meant to do and will continue creating for as long as this lifetime will allow me.
